All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: Varsity golf member since freshman year, currently captain of the team as a junior.  Named first team all league in 2008 and MVP/League Champion  in 2009  for the Sierra League. Medalist in 12 out of 16 matches.  Placed third out of 106 players in the Ayala Invitational.  Named to the JAGS Western All-Star team, and won both of my matches. Qualified multiple times for AJGA events all over the country.  Played in 3 open AJGA events last year, with a best finish of 31 out of 55 players at the Las Vegas Junior.  In 2009 best finish tied 20th at AJGA West Junior at Robinsons Ranch.
  2. Other Achievements: I maintained a 4.0 GPA  while taking multiple AP classes, have completed over 100 hours of community service, am involved in multiple clubs at school like the Tijuana Mission Club, and National Honor Society.  I have been accepted to Christian Leadership for my senior year.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I work very hard in both school and golf, and I do not procrastinate. I'm very dedicated and always try to work to achieve my highest potential.  As Captain of my high school golf team, I've been able to develop my leadership skills while enjoying the team atmosphere.  I have a unique personality in that I can be funny and outgoing,  while still able to focus and be serious when necessary.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I enjoy playing with teammates and helping players read putts and make smart decisions that are in the best interest of the team.   I'm usually very enthusiastic and help keep team spirit high.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Is preferably in California or West Coast, but I am willing to go as far as I need in order to play.  I would like to play for a Divison 1 program that is both competitive and balanced.  Ideally a program in which I could both contribute but ultimately become a better golfer that will help me compete at the next level.  Overall the college must also be academically strong and provide a variety of opportunities in my major.
  6. My college goals are: to graduate with a degree in business administration, and play four years of collegiate golf.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: not only helps develop his players as golfers, but as individuals.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: driving, chipping, and maintaining good composer while playing even during difficult rounds.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: putting and greens in regulation. I am working very hard to tighten my swing to be more accurate with my irons, as well as strengthen my putting by making it more consistent.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I have been working extremely hard for the past 6 months on completely revamping my swing, as well as an increased focus on my short game. I practice everyday for about 4 hours (including short game), as well as go to the gym and work on my golf specific exercises that will help me to perform better.
