- Golf Achievements: I have placed All-Conference in 2008 as a junior and placed in the top 20 at State last year. I have been chosen to be my team's captain. I have placed in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, in the following tournaments respectively:
I have also won the Golf Channel's Putt, Chip and Drive competition. I won the long drive competition.
- Other Achievements: I work hard to get good grades in school. I also hold a job at the Rolling Green Country Club and play golf on Green River High School team.
- Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I have been successfully balancing my school responsibilities with my sports and job responsibilities since I was a freshman in high school. There is nothing more important than graduating from high school and going on to attend college; eventually earning a degree.
- I will be a good college teammate because: I have already earned the respect of my teammates by being chosen to be their captain. I work hard on my game, while am very willing to help my teammates when they need it. I am also willing to accept suggestions and/or criticisms to help my own game. I am able to take direction and have always had mutual respect for my classmates and teammates.
- I am looking for a university and golf program that: I am looking for a program that will encourage my academic success, as well as develop my golf game to become an asset to my team.
- My college goals are: I intend to attend a four-year college or university and graduate with a degree. Above all I want to make my parents proud. They have had high expectations of me ever since I was little. Attending and completing college is one expectation they have always had for me. This is something I truly want for myself as well.
- I am looking for a college golf coach that: The type of college coach I am looking for is one that helps me develop the skills I need to help my team win. I also would hope that this coach values education, citizenship, and sportsmanship. I want to learn from my golf coach, not only ways to improve my game, but life lessons.
- The strengths of my golf game are: My strengths are my long game; my driver and my long irons. On average, I drive the ball 300 yards.
I am not an overly excitable player. My boss and the golf pro at Rolling Green often teases me, saying my pulse and heart rate fluxuates during my game. It ranges from 142 all the way up to 143. My demeanor is very relaxed. In fact, my nickname is "The Big Easy" after Ernie Els for my easy going manner.
- The weaknesses of my golf game are: My weakness is chipping. It has proved inconsistent. Sometimes I am right on, and other times I am not. I recently returned from an out of state trip to work specifically on my weakness with a golf pro in Utah.
- I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I have the deep desire to continue to improve. My work ethic is excellent and know it takes practice and dedication to improve at golf. I love the game. It is a life-long sport and intend to play the rest of my life. I am a very teachable person. I do what I am asked to do without complaint.
I believe that a person has the responsibility to work hard in whatever they do. They are responsible to their parents, sibling, employer, coach, school, and teachers, but most of all themselves. I take pride in a job well done. I love the game of golf. Even before the snow melts and the ground thaws, you can find me out of my local course. I will practice until they kick me off in the winter. I have a very tight knit family. Both my parents golf and my sister is learning. We have always done things together. My family is very important to me.
