All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: I finished first at the CJGA Junior Open at Lakeridge Links which was my first win on the CJGA tour.  I was the first golfer in my high school's 50 year history to qualify for OFSAAs (Provincial High School Tournament).  I have had three first place finishes in high school golf and am one of only 60 students at my school to receive an athletic award this year.
  2. Other Achievements: I have 97 hours of community service hours to date.  I enjoy helping to teach young children how to play golf.  I am an active volunteer in the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of Canada. I am a dual citizen with Canada and the USA.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I work hard at school and have an A- average in Grade 11.  This shows that I have the ability to play competitive sports and still keep up with my studies.  My coach has told me that I am easy to teach as I listen well to instruction and then can apply it.  This is a good skill to have in college.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I encourage others and I perform well in team events as you can see from my three high school wins.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: has good academics and a golf program suitable for me.
  6. My college goals are: to earn a four year degree in either Professional Golf  Management, Lanscape Architecture or Business as I know that I would like to work in the golf industry upon graduation even possibly as a golf course designer.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: can communicate well with me and can help me improve my game.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: my short game and consistency.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: my iron play.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: it has improved greatly every year for the past four years and I plan to continue this through my focus on golf this summer.
Personal Statement
I am very passionate about all aspects of the game of golf.  I like to study, watch, practice and play the game.  I would like my career, upon college graduation, to be in the field of golf .
