  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I have great time management, as well as dedication and loyalty to self and team.  I have a focused work ethic both in golf and the classroom.  I am competitive, and work to earn respect and position.  I appreciate the integrity of the game, and I "walk the talk".
  4. I will be a good college teammate because:

I work well in team settings (golf, student government) to achieve common goals, and am an effective leader (captain '09).  I am encouraging and supportive of  teammates, respectful of competitors and appreciative of tournament staff (rules, superintendant, coaches).  I am an excellent communicator at all levels, which comes from playing with all ages.

  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Offers a rigorous academic setting, and has a competitive golf program within its conference.  I want to have an opportunity to earn a spot on the travel team and to represent my school to other students, alumni and competitors.
  6. My college goals are: Educational focus, earn degree in 4 years; planning on graduate school.

Make lifelong friends; grow and mature as an individual. Try new things, experience life

I want to have an opportunity to earn a spot on the travel team.  I would like to be able to study abroad one summer, and perhaps have an internship one summer.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Values the "whole" player, on an athletic level as well as an educational level.   Someone who values creation of a true team dynamic.  A coach who can help on the physical and technical aspects of training, as well as the mental aspect.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: Course management, mental focus, bunker play, distance control and driving length in general.
Grace in victory; humility yet resilience in defeat.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: Sometimes I play too fast.  Sometimes I choose safer shot rather than risk/reward shot.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I have only been playing for 3 1/2 years, and have improved each year and gained more confidence.  Each time I step onto a golf course, I want to improve some aspect of my game.  I have a strong personality, and drive to be the best I can be.
Personal Statement
I have the discipline, confidence and strategy needed to succeed in golf.  I fully embrace the integrity and
camaraderie of the sport.

I respect and embody the "whole" of golf;  the teamwork, a sense of belonging, focus, perserverance, respect, leadership, time management, and spirit.

I believe that I show grace and pride in victory, as well as humility and reslience in defeat.

I view golf as an opportunity for personal growth and life lessons.

I know that golf will be an integral part of my life, for college and beyond.
