  2. Other Achievements: I am a part of the Varsity Lettermans Club at school. I was a member of  Westminster High School Key Club.  I was also a member of the J.V Baseball Team at the High School and played baseball for 11 years . I played basketball for 9 years also.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I have a very strong work ethic both in the classroom and on the golf course. I am able to balance my studies, playing a varsity sport and holding down a part-time job all very successfully.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I have strong leadership skills, as evidence by serving as my High School Team Captain for three years. I respect all teammates, opposing players, and coaching staff. I am open to suggestions to improve my golf game, because I feel there is always room for improvement.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Will challenge me both academically and athletically. I am looking for a golf program which I can be a contributing member to help accomplish their team goals.
  6. My college goals are: To play in a competitive golf program that will enable me to become not only a more well-rounded player, but help prepare me for my future in life within the golf industry after college.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Takes an interest in the student athlete both on and off the golf course. One who treats everyone with dignity and respect, and who takes an interest in getting to know the player. Finally one who will challenge me to reach my potential, because I feel that although I am a good golfer now, with the right instruction, the sky is the limit for me.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: My mental game is without a doubt my greatest asset. Very little rattles me on the golf course. I consistently drive the golf ball well, many times reaching 300 yards. My short game is very strong, and although I feel I am in a good place right now with my golf game, I work at the game everyday to improve.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: Inconsistently striking my irons solid everytime.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I want to improve. I have a mentally tough attitude and a strong will and the determination to become a top caliber golfer. This has been a goal of mine for a long time, and this is why I continue to work so hard on a daily basis.
Personal Statement

I was introduced to the game by my father. At age 4 I took basic lessons on how to hold the golf club and basic skills to hit the golf ball.  My father was approximately a 15 handicap who loved the game very much. We would go out every weekend and play or spend hours at the practice facility. During winter of my 8th grade year, my dad passed away of a heart attack. Since his passing, I have been on my own with regards to my golf game.  I have spent a lot of time researching the golf game to improve my skills with the help of The Golf Channel and various golf magazines. I also asked a lot of questions, and took the advice of a few pros and coaches.  I continued to practice just about everyday trying as to critique and enhance my game in every aspect. I have accomplished a lot by myself.  My mother has been a tremendous help.  Not only would she take me to every tournament, she was also my biggest supporter.  She also purchased all the equipment I needed. Since my freshman year, my golf game has improved greatly, but I feel there is always room for improvement. With some instruction and a good college program I feel that I can take my game to the next level.
