All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements:
When I entered Middle School, I decided to stop playing baseball and soccer to concentrate solely on golf.  I played in competitive tournaments in the Catskill Junior Tour, HVJTMS, and the JGA.  Collectively I have won 11 events, with my low competitive round being a 1 under 72.  I practiced with my high school golf team as an 8th grader, but could not play competitively due to the 4 year limit.  Played freshman, sophomore, and junior year on varsity.  I will be entering my senior year golf season in the fall of 2010.  I ended 2009 season with a 78.3 average.  My current average for 2010 is a 74.5.
  2. Other Achievements:
I have been an honor roll student every year since I started school.  I have maintained a 3.7 or higher GPA since freshman year.  Been a member of the computer club, science olympiad, and national history day.  We won the regional national history day event and went to States which was held at Penn State college.  I volunteered at a golf camp with my high school coach.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer:
I am very serious about my academic grades.  I love to practice and play competitively, or just for recreation.  I take tournament preparation seriously, and I always try to have a positive attitude.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because:
I am considerate and believe all people should be treated with respect.  I always like to help my teammates if I can.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:
Will help me reach my academic and athletic goals.
  6. My college goals are:
To achieve a degree in my chosen field, play competitive golf during my years at school, and to build longterm friendships.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:
I would like a coach that takes the game seriously, but also enjoys having fun playing golf.  A person who will continue to work with me on my golf game and someone I can respect and look up to.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are:
My short game, driving distance, and my work ethic.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:
Long irons, but I have been improving on it lately.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because:
I am dedicated to practicing and playing often.  I have over 30 tournament days scheduled for the summer of 2010, then I will be entering my high school senior golf year in the fall.  My goal is to be scratch or better by the end of my senior high school year.
