All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: Started Varsity as a freshman and a sophomore, played number two spot both years. Made it as a team to Ohio State High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) state tournament the past two years. Careered at sectionals freshman year with a 76. As sophomore finished 11th as an individual and contributed to team's tie for 2nd place at the 2008 Division 1 State of Ohio Tournament. In 2007 I was awarded 2nd team all district. Also in 2008 finished 5th at PGA tournament at Westbrook Country Club with three rounds of 81-80-83, finished 8th in 2008 Ohio Junior Girl's Championship at Marion Country Club with scores of  77-78.
  2. Other Achievements: I contribute to my community by performing public service hours such as working at after school child care, my parish's annual festival, and the local men's shelter. Made it to state science fair competition and had an opportunity to compete nationally.I scored at an accelerated level in all sections of the Ohio Graduation Test.I am enrolled in accelerated courses.I made it to the State Free Throw Basketball competition two years in a row.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: In everything that I do I am focused on my goals and I committed to reach those goals. I have enthusiasm for the tasks that must be performed and I am also willing to step up and be the leader in those situations. Every day I strive to improve on the golf course, personally, and in the classroom. When I wake up each morning I try to think of how I can become a better person. I know how to balance school and golf, not letting either one fall below the other.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: As an avid basketball player I clearly understand team play. I understand the importance of cheering on a teammate doing well as well as being supportive when a teammate is struggling. As a captain of both basketball and golf teams I've had the opportunity to serve as a team leader as well as teammate. My personality is such that my teammates are comfortable with me pushing them as well as myself to always improve. I also enjoy the challenge of the tough game situations.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:

A program that is competitive and supportive of its athletic programs. I also am looking for a program that encourages academic excellence. I am looking for an active campus life.

  6. My college goals are: To continue my academic process and acheive a degree. Along with acheiveing my degree I would love to take my golf game to new heights.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Is supportive, approachable, and is constantly testing my game in an effort to push me to grow. Also a coach who believes in academics, I cannot lose sight of the fact that academics are the core reason for attending college.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: Strong sand game, good mid-range iron play and short game.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: Must improve driving accuracy and putting consistency.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: Everyday I push myself to improve and become a better golfer. I look at the weaknesses in my game and focus on making each of those weaknesses a new strength.
Personal Statement
As a Junior in high school (2009-2010 season) I have decided to focus entirely on my golf game. I have determined that another 200 to 250 practice and tournament hours this winter; instead of basketball; will better prepare me for my senior year and college golf. I am coupling golf with a body building program and a regimented training program with my swing coach to change my golf swing. I am committing to be a great athlete, not just a good athlete.
