All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements:
  2. Other Achievements: When I was a field goal kicker for Los Gatos High School I created the Kicks for Kids Fundraiser that benefitted the Ronald McDonald House in Palo Alto. I was responsible for designing and producing the marketing material, tracking donor pledges, and collecting funds based on converted PAT's and field goals. I successfully raised more than $14,000 for the families of children with life threatening illnesses.

Another achievement of mine outside of golf is being a training camp assistant for the Los Gatos High School football team. As a junior and senior in high school I helped assist the freshman and sophmores during their training camp. My role was to assist with weight training, setting up and putting away football equipment, and providing instruction to the players.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer:  I am a currently a college student with a 3.64 GPA so I know I can handle the college level workload. I was named the scholar athlete of the year two years in a row at my high school so I know I can balance doing well in the classroom with doing well on the golf course. Another reason I will be a good college student-athlete golfer is because I want to pursue a career that involves both business and golf so I realize the importance of enhancing my skills in both areas.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because:
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:  I am looking for a university that can provide a good education along with an opportunity to take my golf game to the next level. I am currently a business major at the University of Oregon and I would love to continue to study and earn a degree in business, although I am open to other options as well. Ideally I would like to get a significant amount of playing time in college tournaments, however I believe that is something that I need to earn. I need a program that will strengthen my game through practice drills and competition and help me reach the next level in my game.
  6. My college goals are:  My college goals are to graduate with a degree in business and pursue and MBA, and to earn a place on a collegiate golf team and to contribute to that team.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:  I am looking for a college golf coach that will test me physically and mentally with my game. I would like a coach that will drill me hard in practice and competition so that I not only improve the mechanics of my game, but improve how I think on the golf course so I can dramatically lower my scores. I am also looking for a coach who is very approachable when I have questions about the team. I am also looking for a coach who will make decisions that are in the best interest of the players and the team.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are:  The strengths in my golf game are my short game and my determination to never give up during a round. Even if I am not having a great round or if things aren't going according to plan I never stop trying to play the best that I can and limit the damage. My short game contributes a great deal to this. My chipping, putting, bunker play and full wedge shots have allowed me to continue to score well even after getting into some difficult situations from the tee or approach shots.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:  I feel that I can improve my driving distance and driving accuracy. I can hit the ball far and I can hit it straight but sometimes combining the two is a challenge. If I can start to combine the two a little more consistently I feel my scores will start to drop very quickly.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I am an extremely dedicated and hardworking individual. I love working on my game and strive to improve it every day. Golf is more than just a game and competition for me, it is a passion and working to improve my game never feels like doing work but having fun.
