All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements:

I am a 17 year old Senior at Regis Jesuit High School in Denver, CO. I have been playing competitive golf since age 11 in CJGA events, USGA events, through Middle school, and now in High School. In the last 3 years I have played in a total of 54 events. I have won 5 of these events; have 15 top 4 finishes, 23 top 6 finishes, and 26 top 10 finishes. I work with professional golf coach Doug Wherry 3 times a week year round in addition to my regular school practice/match schedule. When not with Doug or playing for Regis I play and practice daily at Castle Pines Country Club.

  2. Other Achievements:

While golf is of tremendous importance to me my academic work and my family are of even greater importance. I have a 3.6 GPA while taking Honors and AP classes. I have been selected one of two juniors to the Regis “Youth Advisory Board”. I am involved in over a dozen clubs at Regis such as Environmental Club, Cadre, and Newspaper. At Regis we also give back to the community. I currently have 110 service/community hours and will have accumulated 180 hours of community service by my graduation in 2010. In January 2011 I will be going on a service trip to El Progresso, Honduras to work with malnutrition children for two weeks, where I will also accumulate 85 hours of community service. I also have a part time job at “Rodney’s” restaurant 15 hours per week as a waiter and server.

  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I am a very motivated and hard worker. I can balance many activities while still playing golf at my highest level. Most of all, I am a good student.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I play better on a team. I like to interact and help build the team dynamics.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Will not only give me a great education but a golf program that will teach me to become a better player and person.
  6. My college goals are: I would like to make it through pre medicine so that I can become a doctor. I want to have an enjoyable college experience in the classroom and on the golf course.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:

I'm looking for a coach that understands the golf swing and the golf game. I want to find the right coach for me. I'm looking for a college coach that will give me the oppurtunity to show them my potential. I need a coach that will believe in not only me, but the team I play for as well. I am really looking for a coach that will increase my potential as a golfer and a person.

  8. The strengths of my golf game are: Putting and wedges. I work very hard on those two aspects because they are waht make a good play, good. I am also an excellent driver of the golf ball.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: Keeping my athletic talent and the mechanics of the swing together. Sometimes I get to mechanical and forget that it is just a swing. I realize that mechanics develop the perfect swing, but I often play much better when I am focused on my own positive swing thought.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: Because I simply want to play golf. Improvment in my opinion comes with having fun.
