All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements:  I have been playing on the High School varsity golf team since 7th grade. The last two seasons I have been playing in the number 2 spot.  I made all-conference in 8th and 9th grades. I moved from the 12th spot in 8th grade to the 5th spot in our conference this year.
I placed in the top 5 in most of the events of the Minnesota junior PGA tour last summer '08. Winning two events. I qualified for the Players Tour for this summer '09.
I placed top 5 in Iowa for the Callaway series summer of 08.

  2. Other Achievements:  I am an excellent student. I am the president of the student government in my freshman year of high school. As president, I helped organize fundraisers and community events and school events. I am on the elite choir, and just made the Belle Chanter choir as a sophmore. Only 10 kids are picked from 9th grade to participate.
I won an eagle award for outstanding contributions for student government. The last time that award was handed out to a president of SG was 5 years ago.

  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer:  I work hard at both my school work and golf game. They are both equally important to me.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because:  I am encouraging to my teammates and I have proven to be a player to rely on.

  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:  I am looking for a University and Golf program that has a first class golf course and training facility. A coaching staff that works on improving my game. And a University that has a solid program that I am interested in.
  6. My college goals are:  To get my degree and play college golf.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:  That can help me improve in my mental game, and will work with me on improving my skills.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are:  My swing and short game. I keep my head. I am a calm player. I don't get easily frustrated.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:  My mental strength is something I am working on. I need to work on staying focused. I am working on getting all of my skills to come together. I have all the necessary skills, I just need to focus on getting them to work together.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I have a sincere love of the game. I believe that you have to love it to do well! I believe that golf teaches many life lessons. And I adapt those lessons to my everyday life!
Personal Statement
I love the game of golf. I enjoy the challenge it brings every shot on every hole of every round. No shot is the same. No lie is the same. It is both mentally and physically challenging... but it keeps me coming back for more!
