All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: I placed 6th at the Maryland State Golf Tournament amongst the females as a junior.  I was given the honor of MVP on the Bowie HIgh School Golf Team for the 2007 and 2008 fall seasons.  I also was chosen to be a part of the Digital Sports' 2008 All-Beltway Golf Team.  I also won the Glenn Dale Golf Club Junior Championship amongst the females in 2008 and tied for first at the Elite Tour Tournament at Crofton Country Club with a 77.  Currently I have a 10 handicap.
  2. Other Achievements: I have always maintained straight A's in school and currently have a 4.38 GPA; I recently received a 1930 on my SATs.  I am in Bowie's SUMMIT program (above Honors program of only 60 students) and have been since freshman year.  I was recently elected secretary of National Honor Society, and I played Varsity softball for Bowie High School as a freshman, but resigned to focus on competing in golf.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I have ample experience in balancing varsity sports and a rigorous AP schedule at the same time and feel I can manage my time wisely.  I have fun playing golf but take it seriously and always wish to improve.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I dedicate myself to the sport and never miss a practice- I am very punctual.  I also enjoy being a part of a team and do what I can to do what is best for the team.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: has a traditional college feel and excells in many sports.  I want to be in a warm environment where I can play golf almost all year round.  I wish to attend a university where the students are dedicated to their studies just as I am, and I want to be a part of a golf program that is successful but also fun to be a part of.
  6. My college goals are: to play either Division 1 or 2 collegiate golf or to be a part of a Professional Golf Mangement program (offered at only certain schools in the country).  If I am accepted to the PGM program, my goal would be to intern at prestigious golf clubs in the country and graduate with my PGA card.  If possible, I would also like to play club-level softball as a hobby.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: can help me with my swing throughout my year(s) on the team and can help prepare myself mentally for certain tournaments, etc.  I am also looking for a golf coach that is punctual and dedicated to the sport and welfare of the team.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: my drives and my mental strength while playing.  I try not to let emotions bother me on the course.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: lag putting but I continue to work on improving it.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I dedicate myself to my game, and I have worked through the winter on strength and conditioning.  I play as often as I can (almost everyday in the summer) and will be working at two local golf courses part-time over the summer, which will have a positive impact on my game.  I also have high goals for the future which require me to continue to improve.
