All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: This past year, I played in the first or second position at every match for my high school.  For the first time  in the school's history, our golf team qualified for the TSSAA tournament, placing fourth overall.  During the first round of that tournament, I shot the lowest score for our team, allowing me to play in the final foursome of the day for our division.

  2. Other Achievements: Through my high school I have participated in a number of community projects involving different areas of service.  For the last two years I have volunteered to work with older adults in an assisted living facility, doing things from serving meals, helping with recreational activities and sometimes just listening to their stories and learning from their life experiences. I have also worked with a recycling group to improve our school and our community.

I have volunteered and worked with junior golfers as they learn the game and start playing in their first games.  In this program, it has been my goal to help children learn to enjoy the game as much as I do even if they never play competitively. I think the game of golf can help teach young people ethics and respect for themselves and for other players.

  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: My desire to succeed in my studies as well as on the golf course is one of my strongest characteristics.  I have worked hard to develop good study habits and organizational skills during high school. I have the desire and drive to do the best that I can not only in class but also on the golf course.
Strong study habits for my school work and to improve my golf game.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I believe that one person doesn't make a team.  I have always worked to be a team player and be a leader whenever my coach wanted me to.  I think it is important to perform to the best of my ability and to support my team members as they work to do the same.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Will help me get a good education while offering me the opportunity to participate in a golf program that helps me improve my game.  It is my goal to get a solid education but also to be able to take my golf game to a higher level.
  6. My college goals are: To complete my degree in business while performing at the top of my golf game.  I want to succeed academically while being a member of my college's golf team.  Another personal goal is to help my college golf team make it to the NCAA National Championship.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Will push me to be a better golfer and person; will offer advice; and will be interested in me not only as a golfer but as a student and individual.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are:

At present, the most consistant part of my game is my iron play.  I also feel that my mental game has really developed over the last year and that I am able to "think my way" around the golf course.

  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: I continue to work on my wedge game and putting because I realize how important they are to my overall game.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I have a strong dedication to the game of golf.  I am determined and think that my work ethic and ability to take and follow instruction will help me continue to improve the mechanics of my game.
