All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: I have been playing golf  since I was 12 years old and really enjoy it.  I play the first position on the High School golf team and have a scoring average of 39.  I have won the County and District tournaments for the past two years, and have placed in the top 10 each year in States.  My low round in the Maryland States was a 75.  I am the current  Maryland Golf And Country Club womens champion winning with two rounds of 77 last summer.  I have played and won on the All Star Junior Golf Tour, and the Elite Players Tour, and competed in my first IJGT tournament this year placing third.  I play for the Maryland State Girls Golf Team, and compete in the Maryland Women's Amateur each year.
  2. Other Achievements: Outside of golf, I focus a lot on school and my grades.  I play on the varsity tennis team in the spring at school and played travel soccer for many years.  I love music, and play the guitar.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I understand the importance of good grades, and the need to have a college education.  I am good at balancing my time between golf and school as well as life outside of school and golf.  I look forward to going away to college and gaining the experiences that come with life away from home.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I have played on the golf team in High School for two years, and have played with all boy competitors and team mates.  While this is fun and great for my golf, I look forward to being on a girls golf team,  making new friends, and helping the team win every match we play.  I am tremendously competetive and love winning on the golf course.  I play for the Maryland Girls golf team once a year and it is my favorite week of the year.  As a team we get to eat together, room together, practice together, and play golf together; it is a great experience.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: will help me grow in both my education as well as my golf goals.  A school that has great spirit, and a good environment to learn in.
  6. My college goals are: - to obtain a degree in either Marine Biology, or Golf Management.
    - to be the number one player on the golf team.
    - to experience college life and learn life skills.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: can help me grow as a golfer and a person.  That expects a lot out of me, but can help me reach my potential.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: I have the ability to block everything out on the golf course and focus on the round at hand.  I also hit the ball longer then average, and have a good short game.  I love to win.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: I don't spend as much time on the range as I should, and could spend more time in the gym on fitness.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because:

I love the game, and work to improve on all parts of my game.  I look forward to college where I can be around a group of my peers and be driven by my team to grow.

Personal Statement
I look forward to being a part of a great golf team.  Thank you for looking at my resume.
