All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements:

"STATE CHAMPION" Arizona 4A2 - November 10, 2009.  I shot 2 consecutive 69's to win the championship by 5 strokes.  I had one bogey in 2 rounds and it was on the second hole I played.  I was 7 under for the remaining 34 holes with nothing but birdies and pars.  The tournament was held at The 500 Club in North Phoenix and was played from the tips (around 6800 yards).

I won my first tournament at the Grand Canyon State Games in the summer of 2009.

I recently won the Grayhawk Challenge (Desert Junior Tour) on July 25, 2010.  I shot a second round 1 under 71 coming from 4 behind to win by 5.  I had the best score at the tournament by 3 strokes.

I took second place at the King's Deer Challenge (Rocky Mountain Junior Tour) on July 10 and 11, 2010 in Monument, Co.  I shot a second round even par 71 which was the best round of the tournament.

  2. Other Achievements:

I was the starting 3rd baseman for the Freshman baseball team at Thunderbird High School.  I had the best batting average on the team and had a very solid year.  The baseball coach was dissappointed when I told him I would not play my sophomore year due to my desire to concentrate full time on golf.

  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer:
I will be a good college-student athlete because I am dedicated to whatever I do.  I work to be the best golfer I can and I work to get good grades.   I also feel I am a great team player and a very good leader.  I constantly work with my teammates and help them with their swing and approach to the game.  I'm a good student and will excel at my studies in college.  I am also very open and easy to get along with and I make friends very easily because of my joyful attitude.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because:
I am very friendly and easy going guy.  I make friends very easily and quickly because I am not shy at all.  I also feel I have a good eye for the game and can share my thoughts with others regarding their game in a good positive way.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:

I'm looking for a university with a solid business/marketing program because I plan to major in that area.  Based on my ability to converse with people, kids and adults, I'm very confident I will be very successful in a business, management or marketing position when I graduate.  I'm looking for a golf program that will provide me an opportunity to play, to grow with my game and allow me to be the best player I possibly can.  I'm looking for a program that is strong in moving players to the "next" level.

  6. My college goals are:

Become the best golfer I possibly can.  My long range goal is to see if I can grow my game to a level that will allow me to compete at th highest level and provide me a chance to become a "tour" player.  However, knowing that it will be tough to become a "tour" player, my primary goal outside of golf is to do my best in college so I can be best prepared to enter the employment world upon graduation.

  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:

I'm looking for a college coach that will provide me the coaching, training and knowledge that will help me compete at the highest level I can.  I would like a coach that is easy to know and understand, one that I can relate to on and off the course.

  8. The strengths of my golf game are:

My driver is probably the best part of my game.  I'm pretty long and usually keep it out of trouble.  I'm also a solid ball striker overall.

  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:

Putting has been my weakness, though I have been working really hard at it and I'm starting to see progress.  Can't seem to get birdie putts to drop as often as I need to be able to compete with the top players.

  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because:

I'm told I have the body, strength and a natural swing and if I continue to work hard, I'm very confident my game will grow and improve and I will be competing at a very high level.  I live a block from our course which also happens to be the home course for my high school.  We have a great practice facility that I use almost every day.  I also have an instructor that I see 2-3 times a month that has been a great help to me and hopefully will be helping me until I go to college.

Personal Statement

I am very excited about the College Combine.  I'm looking forward to showing my talents and hopefully making a positive impression on the coaches.  I have a strong desire to play college golf and this is my first opportunity to see where I stand and to find out what I need to do to put myself in position to get scholarship offers from the best possible schools.

I also hope to learn about the different univeristies that will be attending so I might start to get an idea of where I would like to attend.
