All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: I became interested in golf when I was 12 years old. I would go to the driving range with my father. I didn't play competitively until my freshman year in high school. When my team won our region and finished 5th at State(I played the second position), I knew I wanted to pursue golf on a larger scale. My parents allowed me to attend the Hank Haney International Golf Academy the second semester of my junior year which has helped me become an improved ball striker. While I am now 17, I am improving every tournament. I have competed in several tournaments this past summer and have several tounaments scheduled for this upcoming fall (2009).
I recently was named to the Under Armour 2009 All American Team as honoralble mention.
  2. Other Achievements: Regarding my athletic accomplishments, I consider myself an outstanding all-around athlete. While golf is my main focus now, I competed at the highest level available to me in fast pitch softball, lacrosse and competitive cheerleading. My high school competition cheer squad has finished 2nd in the state in 2 of my 3 years competing in the 5A division (Top in State). Team members considered me the best tumbler on the floor.
Academically,  I am an honor roll student and have been throughout my high school career. I understand my academics are an important consideration to any college that may consider me.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: Because I have always been around sports, I consider myself a team person first. I love competition and think that I am considered a team leader by my peers. I think my best personality trait is that I can continue to smile even when my round is not going as good as it could be.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I try and find the best in everyone and treat them as I would want to be treated.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:  Will allow me to get the best college education I can get based on my golfing ability.
I would also like to compete at the highest level my skills will allow me to.
  6. My college goals are: Get a degree in business/communications.
    Play college golf.
    Win tournaments.
Enjoy and participate in the college experience.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Can help me develop into a more complete player while evaluating my skills to determine if I could pursue a golf career.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: I am considered long off the tee.
I am a visual learner. If you can show me, I can get it.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:

I'm working on my metal game. I seem to continue to have 1 bad hole a round that is affecting my score in a bad way.

  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: My competitive upbringing makes me want to be better and I know I have the ability.
Personal Statement
I live by many quotes when I'm playing golf. It helps me remember there are ups and downs in the game and thinking of the quotes puts a positive note in my head. One quote I constantly review is, "When we think of failure; failure will be ours. If we remain undecided, nothing will ever change. All we need to do is want to achieve something great then simply do it. Never think of failure, for what we think will come about."
