All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: After starting the girls golf team at my school, I have successfully been the captain for 2 years. Winning my league championship this year and leading my team to a 3rd place finish was a crowning achievment for the team as a whole. Aside from school golf achievments, I won numerous summer tournaments last year, leading me to an overall 2nd place finish in the CT junior PGA series.
  2. Other Achievements: I was recently elected to be a Prefect (senior responsibility in younger dorms) which is a high leadership postion in my Prep school, Choate Rosemary Hall. The academics and arts programs at my school have challenged me and I feel that I have succeeded overall at school.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I have always been a hard worker both on the course and at school. Being a student-athlete would force me to challenge myself in balancing the two, a skill which I have been working on for a few years. I always face my challenges and try my best.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I love working with other people. I have always thought that golf isn't completely an individual sport regardless of all of the invidivual tournament I have played in. Being a teammate is something I throughly enjoy and I have always been a strong leader, thus being an elected captian of the team for years.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: I would feel most comfortable at a school that would challenge me but would not make me feel like I am in over my head. I like feeling as if I am in a place where I can grow and make more of my environment.
  6. My college goals are: My college goals are not yet decided. I look forward to seeing what the school I choose has to offer.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: I would like a coach that is encouraging, has a strong knowledge of the game, and will help my game to grow.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: I have good swing technique which helps my woods and iron game in every tournament I play.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: My distance is something I have been working on my gaining strenght.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I have great perserverence and love to make my game better each day.
Personal Statement
My goal is to play college golf and it has been something that I have been working towards for the past few years. In addition to working on my golf game, I have also chosen to go to a very demanding and selective secondary school. The combination of these has challenged me and kept me very busy.
