All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: After a solid sophomore season, I did not qualify for the regional tournament. That disappointment drove me to set a goal to qualify for the PIAA State Tournament. I knew I needed to increase the intensity of my competition. I set  a record at the Penn Jersey Tournament, and got started in the  IJGT and AJGA . I became the youngest Men's Club Champ at my home course, and won the Presidential Flight of the Lehigh Valley's prestigious LV Mens Amateur  in a playoff.  I am the 2008 League Champion (birdied the first hole in a playoff), placed 3rd in Districts and 6th at Regionals. I achieved my goal, placing in the top ten (6th) at the PIAA State Championship.  At  States, I bounced back from 22 place, shooting the best second round score of 71.   I was named the Golfer of the Year . In 2009, I've place 4th, 3rd and 1st in 3  IJGT tournaments and was invited to the IJGT TOC .
  2. Other Achievements: Outside of golf I have achieved academic excellence by always maintaining over a 3.5 GPA. I am a member of the wrestling team since first grade and have wrestled at the varsity level for 3 years. Placing 2nd in districts and 6th at regionals my freshman year. I recieved the 2008-2009Justin Petersen award following my Junior season from the parents club recognizing Leadership and Excellence in wrestling. I also started on my varsity baseball team my sophmore year, but decided not to play baseball so I could focus on golf.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I am able to stay focused on the tasks at hand when dealing with my school work and my golf game. I continue to develop leadership skills.I get along well with all my teammates and consider myself well liked by them because of my good sense of humor and ability to see the best in people. It is important to me that I am successful in everything I do.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I am a competitor. I consider the team  while achieving my personal goals. I am open to advice to improve personaly and to improve my golf game. I am always looking to improve my teammates and offer any help available. I have been told I am a good and patient teacher. I promise myself to NEVER QUIT on myself or my teammates. I also find it better to be a competitive towards my teammates making myself and teammates better golfers.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Can offer me a good education in a major I will enjoy such as accounting, engineering, or sports management while providing me outstanding golf competition, good team, and coaching staff to continue improving my game
  6. My college goals are: To take advantage of experiences that will prepare me for my  future. To explore opportunities in areas that I am unfamiliar. Also to become a highly competitive student-athlete at the collegiate level.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Wants to win and is able to have fun while still being able to set and achieve  goals. I never had much formal instruction and hope to improve all aspects of my game to see how far I can go. I am looking for a coach who values a positive coach-athlete relationship and wants me to succeed on and off of the course.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: Aside from my strong desire to win,my short game is my strength.  If I miss the green, I can often get up and down to save par. I am very good at recovering if I hit a bad shot . Also even though I dont crush the ball off the tee, I hit the fairways. I don't give up and have battled back to win outright or in playoff situations- I am not afraid of winning.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:

My drive distance, and occasionally if  irons get off, and I miss greens, usually I am able to recover with my short game, but would like to improve on that and not have to rely on my short game as much to recover but to score low. I have three putt from long distances and is just a minor negative aspect of my game where I could eliminate 1 or 2 stokes.

  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I have the right mindset and know that to improve you have to work at it. I learned from my experiences that anything you do and want to get better at you have to put the time in, and I'm not afraid to do that. I have confidence in myself and believe in myself that I can always get better, and even though sometimes you have a bad round, you can always learn from it.
