All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: Represented school to play in the National Interschool Golf Competition since 2007. Represented home club to play in the 2nd KGNS Ladies Amateur in Malaysia: 6th best gross for the individual Division 2 competition and 3rd for Team. Number 2 player on the Robert Louis Stevenson School's Varsity Team since 2009. 2009 Second Team ALL-TCAL.
  2. Other Achievements: 1. Leader for a team of students for a Science Project that has won many awards in various National Science Competitions in Singapore.
    2. Organiser for regular vistis to orphanage.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I am confident that I have the ability to handle both my golf game and academic simultaneously as I have been doing so ever since I started playing golf. I can get along with people well and I am passionate. I will do my all in order to perform well for myself and my team.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I believe golf is more than an individual game and everyone excels at their best when each team member is supportive of, and encouraging towards one another. I also enjoy team comradeship and I will be proud to be a part of a college team.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: has an excellent academic program, as well as a golf team that is continuosly striving for excellence.
  6. My college goals are: to play in the college's golf team, to excel in my studies, foster relationships and to make the best of an enjoyable college experience.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: is encouraging and can help me improve my game in all aspects whilst providing me good guidance.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: My consistent swing and being able to execute fairly accurate shots with my irons and woods. My good putting stroke is my greatest strength.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: My short game, both putting and chipping still needs improvement to contribute to lowering my score. Also, I need to gain more distance with my long game so as to have shorter approach shots to the green.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I attend weekly golf training sessions with my golf coach to constantly improve my game technically and mentally. Most importantly, the passion and interest I have in golf will drive me on to improve on my game. Moving from Singapore to Pebble Beach this fall will enable me to have better exposure and training while representing my high school. Training under my school coach has improved my mental approach and gym training will continue to strenghten me for greater distance.
Personal Statement
I strive to improve my golf and excel in my studies, as well as to enjoy the friendships within the school team.
