All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements:

A few of my greatest achievements these past few years have been winning an individual District Championship, placing 3rd in state my junior year, and having some close chances of going to some bigger tournaments but missing the cut by a few strokes each time. I have come to realize that the results won't always come out as planned but all I can do is work harder to make those chances less common. Another achievement was being awarded the MVAA award at my high school for being an inspiring student-athlete. That was the best reward I could ask for because not only was I doing what I loved to do, but I was getting recognized by my peers, teachers and coaches for all my hard work and dedication.

  2. Other Achievements:

Throughout high school, I have maintained over a 4.0 GPA by taking Honors and Advanced Placement classes. This year I also was a member of FCCLA and I was the captain of our culinary team. We won districts and state, and made it to nationals. Outside of school activities, I am really involved in my church. I am the head kindergarten teacher on Sundays at Calvary Chapel; I volunteer at functions and counsel at church camps. I am someone who uses my free time to do things that i love!

  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer:

These past few years I have learned that being a student-athlete takes a lot of work. I have learned that time is a lot more valuable and that I need to manage it wisely. My academics and golf have become my life and my routine. I have come to find a balance and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am a person who has a lot of integrity and I believe that it’s important to do the right thing, even if nobody is watching. Another extremely important part of my life is my family. They have always been a constant support system and have taught me how to be a very mature and respectful person. I know that with them standing behind me I can reach my goals with confidence.

  4. I will be a good college teammate because:
I will be a good college teammate because I am a good listener and I am not judgmental. I consider myself to be very friendly and I motivate others to want to get better at the game. I think it’s important to build a relationship with your teammates and to spend time with them outside of the course. When you can be comfortable with your team and trust that you won’t let each other down is when you can really enjoy yourself, and most of all enjoy the game.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that:
I want to attend a university that has high expectations for their students. I believe that being around people who want to succeed will give me motivation to be the absolute best I can be. I am looking for a golf program that can help me improve and also one that can help me reach my full potential. It’s very important to me that I can find the right balance of being around motivated students as well as a motivated golf team.
  6. My college goals are:
I would like to leave college with a degree in Nursing and possibly go on to become a doctor. Once I reach this goal I will have been the first in my family to go to college and graduate with a degree. I also hope to make lasting friends in college and gain the skills needed to become a strong and successful person. As a golfer, my goals are to play for a school that I love and win a NCAA Championship!
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:

My future golf coach needs to be supportive, inspiring and knowledgeable. It’s very important to have a coach who isn’t judgmental and also someone who treats everyone equally. I believe a good golf coach sets a good example and has high expectations for me, as well as the team.

  8. The strengths of my golf game are:
My long ball, shots from 100 yards and in, my confident putting stroke, and my ability to scramble when needed are some of the highlights of my game. I have a lot of power for my size and I would like to say that I use that to my advantage. I have good course management and stick to my routine to execute the shot I am looking for.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:
I tend to be a perfectionist in anything I do and that is definitely my biggest problem when it comes to my game. My bad days are usually caused by me trying to guide the golf ball instead of just swinging away. My higher scores tend to come from one or two blow up holes that I am constantly trying to avoid. As I gain complete trust in my swing and in myself I think my golf game will improve dramatically.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because:
My golf game will continue to improve because I have the motivation, work ethic and desire to be the best that I can be. Each week I am reading a new book to help my mental game or going out and playing different courses to gain trust in my swing. There is always room for improvement and I will strive to reach my full potential.
