Personal Statement

Glove tan, sock tan, and calloused hands. These are evidence of hours spent working to improve my golf game, and I couldn’t be more proud of them. I am extremely determined not only in golf, but in my academics. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and have been on the Superintendents’ honor roll every semester. My first experience with golf was as a freshman, and I have not stopped playing since. My dedication and determination allowed me to shave off 10 strokes between my freshman and sophomore years and make varsity as a sophomore. I continued with my work ethic and played in the top three that year, was named most improved, and team captain for the following season. As team captain my junior year, my determination to expand my game kept me at the number one position and earned my title as team captain for my senior year. My determination has led me to First Team All League in the South Coast League and a top five finish in Individuals. My determination will lead to a successful senior season full of darker tan lines and new calluses.
