All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements: I have qualified for the Region IV Class 5A girls golf tournament as the second place medalist both my freshman and sophomore years with a 2009 Regional 10th place finish behind 6 or more college-bound golfers.
I was selected to participate in the 2008 Texas/Mexico Cup, a Ryder Cup style competition, as Pecan Valley Golf Club in San Antonio, Texas.
  2. Other Achievements: I received numerous trophies in little league boys' baseball teams in elementary school, including all stars.  I also played baskeball and served as point gurad for my middle school girl's basketball team.
I  received  statewide art recognition for some of my art, which was featured at the Texas State Capital while I was in elementary school.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I plan to get a college education, regardless of any setbacks.  I love the game of golf and plan keep playing during/after college.  I feel that I am a mature teenager for my age and I know I can be an asset to whichever  college gollf team wishes to recruit me.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I really play my best golf when I have my teammates in the same tournament.  Practice competition makes me a better golfer.  I love the social support that I can provide and hopefully will get from future teammates, as this has always enhanced my golf scores in the past.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Will suit my needs, both academically and athletically.  I know that I will strive to excel and help my team go far.  I know how important academics are, so I plan to study hard and keep up with my college work.
  6. My college goals are: I realize that college courses require more self-discipline than high school demands and that is a little scary.
I am not sure which direction I am going to follow as far as a major yet.  I would like to receive a well-rounded education though.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Will help me achieve my highest golf potential and still help me adapt to college academics and college life.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are: My length off the tee and my mid-irons are the strongest part of my game.

My mental game serves me well especially in course management and my ability to forget a "bad" shot.
I will at times get on a "roll" and make several birdies in a row.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:

The weakest part of my game is from 100 yards in, chipping and putting.  My inability to get "up and down" inflates my scores and my aggressiveness in putting leads to too many three-putts.

  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I will be pushed more on a college team to prepare and improve my game.  I love the game of golf.
Personal Statement
I have played golf since I was 7 because my brother played golf.  I have a natural swing and enjoy competing with older girls.  My statistics are from tournament play.  I do not have any 18 hole scores except for tournaments.

I do want to play college golf very much.  I know I can compete with college women golfers because I am competing and beating scholarship women right now.

My short game needs work to improve my scoring, but I have length which I need to take advantage of.

I hope you will check out my swing and consider me for your program!
