    Captain Varsity Golf 2009
Demon Award: Golden High Schools highest athletic award personifying leadership, dedication, and accomplishment in sport .
    3.8 GPA
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I recognize that time management is  paramount in a successful career as a student-athlete, coupled with a keen focus of goals, both on and off the golf course.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: As evidence of my accomplishments in receiving the Demon Award in volleyball, my ability to blend team talents with other sports speaks for itself. I've experienced the peaks and valleys of competitive sports, not just in golf, and know the value that sound fundamental leadership brings to a team.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Offers a balanced liberal arts curriculum coupled with a competitve golf program.
  6. My college goals are: After 4 years, to graduate with the knowledge, maturity, and self confidence to pursue an advanced education in the medical field.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that: Demonstrates his/her desire for a winning environment and dedicated to the advancement of players, academically and personally, both on and off the course.
  8. The strengths of my golf game are:

I would say even temperament, a long memory on good shots and short memory on bad ones. Analytically; Before every shot is my process-- analysis, decision making, commitment to shot, execution, and acceptance. Additionally, my short game is creative and bunker play is exceptional.

  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: I wasn't blessed with heighth or weight but understand the physics behind the golf swing (use of leverage and angles) to make up with clubhead speed. Am currently going through strength and conditioning training.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: Because I love to learn, and listen well, I consider myself a "student" of the game, sometimes over analyzing to a fault, but still continue, through dedicated practice, acquiring a greater sense of feel, balance, and awareness of the golf swing only I own.
Personal Statement

My Dad always told me there's no better metaphor for life than the game of golf. I've found out the ability to handle the peaks and valleys, good and bad bounces, weather conditions, etc, and stay level headed, increases the chances of success, on and off the golf course. The more I participate in tournament play, the more believable this becomes. I am deeply committed to my education, and while my love of golf instills in me fundamental values and characteristics, nothing will shape my path in life more than a sound, broad based and in depth education from a highly respected learning institution.
