All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements:

I lettered in golf my freshman year at Cypress Falls, and was captain by my sophmore year and maintained that status through my junior year. Looking back over my jr. career I have noticed steady improvement over the past three years and I won a TJGT event last year and have been very close this year and am looking to cap one off soon...

  2. Other Achievements: Maintaining a 6.0 GPA and being very close to top 10% of my class was a goal that my school counselor and my parents set up for me and i have accomplished that. Another achievement is balancing practice and school and the junior camps that I volunteer for at two local clubs.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I know where my limits are and I have learned to balance education and practice. Which took 2 years to accomplish this ability to maintain good study habbits without taking any time out of practice.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I am a very friendly person, who loves challenges and i am very competitive but one who will not take a bad round home or take it out on someone. I also dont believe in blaming a bad round on a bad break or something because as the player it is their fault for hitting the ball that direction to begin with.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: Has a good education, good facilities that can be used frequently, I will be able to play at, and has good instructors around to help.
  6. My college goals are: to play to the ability i know I can play to. Playing in these tournaments I have yet to play to the caliber I know i can play at. With a good coach, someone who can help with the mental aspect all of which can change.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:

is strict and fair. One who can keep a schedule and one who motivates everyone around them to get better.

  8. The strengths of my golf game are: maintaining a good composure on the golf course, I feel that my driving and irons are the better parts and controling yardages with the irons is a strong suit, and recovery if i get into a bad sitsuation i am able to recover nicely, or bounce back after a bad hole.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are:

30 yards and in. I have all the shots whether i use them at the right time or not is a different story. My putting is one thing that i work the hardest on but yet i am a very incosistent which is what my coach and i are working on the most.

  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I  love to practice. I will hit a couple hundred balls and putts daily to look for that one extra key that i can trust. I also grew up in a very athletice family, and love to run and workout my body doesnt show it because i have trouble putting on mass but it takes alot of pressure off of me and gets me away from the golf course. I also feel that its not about how much you practice its about how you practice even though i practice for roughly 9 to 10 hours a day durring the summer i feel as commited to every shot as i would on the course while practicing.
Personal Statement
Bad things will happen, there will be bad breaks, and good ones, it all depends on how you can control your emotions when these things happen for some reason.
