- Golf Achievements: As a freshman, I came into a team that had failed to make CIF and had finished at the bottom of league several years running. I would like to think that I inspired some of the players and really motivated them to do well because as a result we finished third in league and made it to CIF for the first time in years. The following year I continued to motiviate the team and we ended up finishing second in league behind the league powerhouse Westlake. I finshed freshman year with an average of 80 which left me really unsatisfied. From there I worked hard on my game and got my sophmore average down to an 80. Other achievments include winning my bracket at the Stanford Players camp tournament and having several good tournament results. I have been a scholar athelete two years running and will continue to do so throughout mny highschool career.
- Other Achievements:
Outside of golf I have prided my self in being a scholar athelete. I have worked hard to keep my grades up as I attend all honor and AP classes.
- Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I am dedicated to schoolwork and playing golf. I also realize the demands of playing a sport and trying to maintain scholar grades.
- I will be a good college teammate because: As a part of a team I really enjoy helping people better themselves at the game. I like it when people ask for advice and what they could be doing differently
- I am looking for a university and golf program that: Looks after their atheletes and understands the demands of playing a competetive sport.
- My college goals are:
Obtain an MBA in business and play on the boys varsity team.
- I am looking for a college golf coach that: Is capable of helping with swing changes and offering helpful advice on how to advance in competeive golf.
- The strengths of my golf game are: My driving, ball strking and short game.
- The weaknesses of my golf game are: Mental aspects and fairway bunkers.
- I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I am dedicated and strive to get better each and every day.
Over the past few years of playing competitive golf, I have really noticed a transformation in my scores and the way I play the game. I started high school with a freshman year average of 80. From there I spent the whole summer focusing on my game and was able to obtain a 74.5 average as a sophmore. I have just returned from a one week Stanford Players Camp where I spent numerous hours with several top universiy coaches. The program constisted of on and off course instruction that included the mental and physical aspects of the game. A tournament was held on the last day where all camp members competed to win. I shot a 3 over par 73 to win my bracket and finished one shot behind the overall camp winner. Having tasted the excitement of the college golf atmosphere, I am motivated to play in many AJGA tournaments to further my comptetive golf experience.
