All About Me
  1. Golf Achievements:

I have achieved many goals in the last 7 years. When I was 9 years old I went to Callaway Junior Worlds and did well. I competed in the Callaway Junior Worlds in 2003, 2005, and 2007. At age 12, I qualified to play in the US Kids Golf World Championships in Pinehurst, North Carolina. At  age 13 and 14, I was invited again to play at Pine Needles Golf Course in Pinehurst, North Carolina where the U.S. Womens Amateur was played at. Alos, I was invited to play in Dallas, Texas with the SDJGA golf team to compete agaisnt other Texas teams and CKG. Not only have I made much progress in golf over 7 years, but in this past year I have strived to try to keep my scores in the 70s. Now that I have gained more confidence, that drives me even more to keep focused and learn more about the game. I believe I have met many of my goals, and I am hoping for more achievements to come.

  2. Other Achievements: My proudest achievements outside of golf is my schoolwork. In 6th grade I made honor roll all four quarters, which is getting a 3.5 gpa or higer. In 7th grade I made honor roll for all four quarters but the 3rd qaurter I achieved a 4.0 gpa. As we all know 8th grade just gets harder and prepares you for high school. I didnt make honor roll, but I managed to keep my GPA consistently above a 3.0. Now I am waiting for the difficulties in high school as a future challenge.
My second achievment outside of golf is soccer. I've been playing since I was 5 years old. When I was 8, I played competitive soccer for Futboll Club "Heat" in Escondido. For the last 3 years I played competitive soccer for Futbol Club of San Diego. Unfortunately, I stopped playing club soccer to focus on my athletic love, which is golf.
  3. Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I think I would make a good college student-athlete golfer. Why? I always keep my priorities straight and don't let myself or anyone else down. It's hard for me to do poorly in any subject whether it's golf or school.  I have a strong desire to be successful and achieve my goals. I always try to remain focused on the task at hand, and if I ever falter, I work as hard as I can to get back on track. I will always try to do my best and always put a full 100% effort into anything anybody asks of me. I know I can be a hardworking golfer and student and take on any challenge. As you can see, I can be a great college student-athlete golfer.
  4. I will be a good college teammate because: I would be a very good college teammate because I have a great personality. I am very friendly, and have shown leadership qualities. I work very well with teammates and know how to motivate others to achieve a common goal. When it comes down to business I tend to become very serious. I have many qualities I think of what college coaches are looking for, to create a great college team.
  5. I am looking for a university and golf program that: I am looking to attend a 4 year university with a good golf team. Since I am only 14, I haven't looked at what can be offered to me in regards to golf teams, universities, different programs or areas of study. I would hope that my coach will be my mentor and teach me what is needed so that I can go on to be the best at my game.
  6. My college goals are: My college goals are to of course graduate and receive a bachelors degree and hopefully go on for a masters degree. Also, to maintain my grades and keep them exceptionally high. As for golf, I would like to be one of the top 3 golfers on the team and just being able to get better and better overtime and see my maturity as a golfer.
  7. I am looking for a college golf coach that:

I am looking for a college golf coach that can help me with my golf and goals. I would like to be able to enjoy a friendship on and off the greens.  I would like to think of her or him as a professional,  as my coach and I wouldn't take advantage of the relationship. Lastly, I would like a coach that can discipline me in school and golf so I can perform to my best ability.

  8. The strengths of my golf game are: The first strength of my golf game is my physical strength. My farthest drive thus far has been 260 yds and my average drive is 210. I try to use it to my advantage and it helps me with many parts of my golf game. My second strength is that I hit very solid shots. Instead of that whipping noise I get that swishing sound. My coach said,"Your one of very few juniors I have seen hit the ball so solidly." Lastly, I practice good golf etiquette on a golf course. I have respect for the golf course and the players.
  9. The weaknesses of my golf game are: The one weakness of my golf game is consistency in putting and in general scoring. I practice at least 5 days/week and I expect that I will turn this aspect of my game around in the near future.
  10. I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I think my golf game will improve because I work really hard at it. I continue to practice everyday so I can get better. My mental golf game is also getting better before and after every tournament because I am learning to stay focused. I can only get better, I promise that. At this point i will only keep the progress positive and just keep getting better.
Personal Statement

Yes, even though I am fourteen years old and just becoming a Freshmen in High School I would still like to be on your radar. I believe I could be a great competitve teammate on your college golf team. I know I have room to grow but I also have time to get better. As I get older I will be trying harder and harder to be better than I am. So please keep me in mind. Thank you.
