- Golf Achievements: I started playing golf seriously while in high school. My freshmen year I was on the development squad and improved a lot. Sophomore Year I was the MVP for the JV golf team and finished with the lowest average for nine holes which was 37.6. During my Junior Year I started on Varsity and finished with the second lowest average on the team, 36.2 for nine holes. Also that year I finished 2nd in CIF individuals for the Bay League and was the only golfer on the team to make it to the third round of CIF Individuals.
- Other Achievements: Since I was 7 years old I have been playing hockey. I started in roller hockey but by the time I was 9 I was playing ice hockey. I have been playing on the Los Angeles Junior Kings for 6 years. My team has won SCAHA (Southern California Amateur Hockey Association) 2 times and CAHA (California Amateur Hockey Association) 1 time. SCAHA is the Southern California Championship and CAHA is the California State Championship. I also scored the winning goal to take us to the SCAHA Championship. A year ago I was voted Captain of the team I was on, and at the same time I was also the Captain of the JV High School Hockey team.
- Attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer: I set very high expectations for myself, both in school and outside activities. I have played hockey most of my life and once I started high school I also added golf into the mix. A disciplined approach was neccessary for me to balance golf practice, hockey practice and school work. This disciplined approach should serve me well in balancing my obligations for future endeavors.
- I will be a good college teammate because: Having played team sports, I know what it takes to be a good role model on a team. I am a reliable person, willing to help any of my teammates should they ever need anything. I am also willing to make sacrifices to ensure our team a victory, whether it is spending the extra hour on the putting green or an extra hour in the gym. To me what makes a good team is being a family, where we are all in it together and we win as a team and we lose as a team.
- I am looking for a university and golf program that: One that can make me be the best that I can be. I am also looking for a university that can help me achieve my goal of receiving a College Degree while providing a golf program that can improve my game both mentally and physically, with the hope of someday playing on the PGA tour.
- My college goals are: To have fun but at the same time do the best that I can in my studies. As for golf, my goal is to win and play to the best of my ability, performing my best when needed the most.
- I am looking for a college golf coach that: Thats motivated to improve his players. One who understands the balance between academic and athletic achievement while motivating his players to reach there fullest potential in both.
- The strengths of my golf game are: My ball striking would have to be the strongest part of my game. I feel that I am consistent in hitting fairways and greens. My length off the tee serves me well on long holes leaving me shorter distances into the green. Another strength would be my creativity, which serves me well when I find myself in precarious situations.
- The weaknesses of my golf game are: Perhaps the area I could most improve would be the mental part of my game, where I am not as confident as I should be. I'd also like to improve the consistency of my short game. I could do a better job of reading and judging putts.
- I think my golf game will continue to improve because: I am constantly researching and reading about current and former golfers. I use every opportunity to implement what I have learned either on a golf course, on the driving range or even in my backyard at home. My golf game continues to improve because of my grit and determination. I practice sometimes as much as 7 hours a day and supplement my training by working out at the gym.
